Johannes Remmel visited the Rothenpieler Group facility in Erndtebrück.
Erndtebrück September 8th, 2011. The NRW Environment Minister Johannes Remmel occupied himself today at noon in Erndtebrück-Schameder with an extremely complex issue: During his two-hour visit to the production facility of the Rothenpieler Company Group he governed some very heavy and advanced metal-cutting machine tool. “Here we can see a minister who really moves the masses” commented the two managing directors Christoph and Stefan Rothenpieler. There, in front of those big and massive steel parts, with weightswhich can reach up to 150 tons, Remmel could see practical examples of complex heavy metal cutting, performed with a watchmaker’s precision. The hosts also explained the environmental standards of the Rothenpieler Company Group. The modern high-tech solutions realized in the Erndtebrück facility do also in this respect contribute to great improvements. Christoph Rothenpieler: “The computer control systems and the high automation level of the machines guarantee enormous energy savings”.This is advantageous both from the ecological, as well as from the economical point of view.
At this, the youngest of their five production facilities, the Rothenpieler Company Group has so far invested more than 18 million Euros. With this the Managing Directors have prepared the company for the challenges of the future. While the large components continue to increase both to dimension and weight, they also require an ever increasing level of machining accuracy. The boring and milling machines and the vertical carousel lathes now installed in Erndtebrück, meet in all respects these requirements - and in addition the chosen location does also offer potential for further growth. “Already today we are here manufacturing components, which later will constitute parts of monstrously big machines on the most different points of the Globe”. And they are machined with an accuracy, which even will impress a watchmaker: Measurements inferior to the thickness of a human hair!
Wilnsdorf/Neunkirchen. The most recent chapter of the Group’s history is now 80 days old: That’s when the Rothenpieler Group added the Flanschenwerk Zeppenfeld to their “Family”. Now the the time has come for the two Managing Directors, Christoph and Stefan Rothenpieler, to make a first interim summary: Sales, flexibility and quality, all develop quite positively.
The objective is clearly defined: Flanges and rings manufactured at the Zeppenfeld facility, will soon all comply with the highest Rothenpieler Standards. With the integration of the Flanschenwerk, the Company Group has increased their product portfolio. We will make use of the important core competence of the two companies and take advantage of all possible synergy effects, Christoph Rothenpieler explains. It is now possible to machine big sized components in five production facilities, on a total of more than 60 machine tools. This translates in an added value for the customers in terms of more flexibility and shorter delivery times, while the company will benefit from a more optimal production process. That’s all part of the profession. The Rothenpieler Group is synonymous with products of the highest accuracy and mechanical resistance.
