History

Rothenpieler milestones

1979:

Horst Rothenpieler establishes the family firm, specialising in the contract manufacture of machine parts for the local region.

1986:

The metal-cutting specialist starts producing large parts, which remain the company’s core competence to this day. Construction of the first section of the workshop in Wilnsdorf is completed.

1995:

The Rothenpieler Group passes to the second generation: brothers Christoph and Stefan Rothenpieler take the reins. Expansions of the Wilnsdorf and (since 1997) Burbach sites gradually increase the group’s production capacity. The group also invests in new, complex machine tools for machining large parts. With a growing customer base, the business is able to build on its success.

2004:

Weber GmbH, a contract manufacturer for the machine and plant engineering industry located in Netphen, joins the group.

2009:

Another plant is built in Erndtebrück-Schameder. Today, this plant is capable of machining work pieces weighing up to 150 tonnes.

2011:

The Rothenpieler Group continues to expand its business activities and Flanschenwerk Zeppenfeld GmbH in Neunkirchen becomes a new division of the group. The acquisition enables Rothenpieler to expand its standard product portfolio for flanges and rings.
